Can I change my order once it has been placed?
Please email us at info@mindfulescapett.com as soon as possible if you would like to make any changes or cancel your order. We will do our best to accommodate your request.
What are your return and exchange policies?
We want you to be pleased with your MINDFUL ESCAPE HOME FRAGRANCE purchase. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied, you may return for full refund price or exchange of your product within (5) business days of purchase.
Please note, that all of our products are carefully inspected before they are shipped. Due to the nature of our products, unopened and unused cannot be returned or refunded.
DAMAGED ITEMS:
We will replace or refund products damaged during shipment if photographic proof of damage product is reported to MINDFUL ESCAPE HOME FRAGRANCE, within (5) business days of receipt.
Please email info@mindfulescapett.com to request a return or a refund. Returns require proof of purchase (e.g. your order number, order confirmation email, receipt) to be accepted. Mindful Escape Home Fragrance is unable to cover return shipping costs.

What materials are your candles made from?
Our candles are crafted from a premium blend of natural soy wax and coconut wax, using lead-free cotton wicks and high-quality fragrance oils and essential oils.
How long will my candle burn?
The burn time varies by size. A general estimate is included on each product page, but typically, a 8.25oz. candle burns for approximately 30 hours.
Do you offer custom or personalized candles?
We currently do not offer custom orders. However, we are always releasing new scents and collections, so be sure to subscribe!
CANDLE CARE & SAFETY
How do I properly burn my candle to get the best performance?
For the first use, let the candle burn until the entire top layer of wax has melted to the edge of the container. This prevents "tunneling." Always trim the wick to ¼ inch before each use.
What is "tunneling" and how do I prevent it?
Tunneling occurs when the candle wick burns straight down the center, leaving a ring of un-melted wax around the edge. You can prevent this by ensuring the first burn creates a full melt pool.
Why is it flickering?
A flickering flame may be a sign of a draft or an un-trimmed wick. Ensure to burn the candle away from fans or open windows.
What are the black marks on my candle jar?
This is soot. It can be caused by an un-trimmed wick, a draft, or a candle burning for too long. Always trim the wick to ¼ inch and avoid burning for more than 4 hours at a time.
Are your candles safe for pets and children?
While our fragrance oils are high-quality, we strongly advise keeping all burning candles out of reach of children and pets. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
How do I clean my empty candle jar?
Once your candle has about ½ inch of wax remaining, you can place the jar in the freezer for a few hours. The wax will shrink and you can easily pop out the remaining wax. Wash the jar with warm, soapy water.
TROUBLESHOOTING
My candle has a bumpy top after I extinguish the flame. Is this normal?
Yes, this is completely normal for 100% soy wax candles and is a sign that it is made from natural ingredients. It does not affect the candle's performance.
Why does my candle have a white, frosty-looking coating?
This is called "frosting" and is a natural characteristic of soy wax. It's an aesthetic issue only and does not affect the fragrance or burn quality of the candle.
My candle isn't very fragrant when it's burning. Why?
Ensure you are burning the correct size candle for the room. A single candle may not be strong enough for a large, open-concept space. Allow the candle to burn for at least 1-2 hours to create a full melt pool and release the scent.

Do you offer free shipping?
Yes, we offer FREE STANDARD SHIPPING on all orders over $200 and over. Free shipping does not apply to products on discount.
What are the shipping costs?
Shipping is calculated based on your location. You will always be notified of your shipping cost before you purchase.
How long does it take for my order to deliver?
You can expect to receive your order within 2-4 business days, excluding holidays. Please allow for additional processing time around major sales or during holidays.
Do you ship overseas?
Unfortunately, currently we do not ship internationally. All our products are shipped within Trinidad and Tobago.
